Western blot analysis of extracts from E. Coli cells expressing a protein containing GST-tag, using GST Mouse monoclonal antibody (GMW.15).
Description:

Epitope tags are commonly used for labeling, detection and purification of recombinant proteins. Due to their small size, they are unlikely to affect the biochemical properties of the tagged fusion proteins.

Glutathione S transferases (GSTs) are a family of enzymes that play an important role in detoxification by catalyzing the conjugation of many hydrophobic and electrophilic compounds with reduced glutathione. The amino acid sequence GST is highly conserved in most organisms, including mammals. GST is a widely used fusion partner, since it provides both an easily detectable Tag and a simple purification process of interest. GeneMay’s monoclonal antibody, clone GMW.15, is developed using recombinant GST expressed in E. Coli. as antigen. It recognizes GST tagged fusion protein in different expression system.
